Green Card spoken word

stick with the STATE OR FEDERAL GOV ' JOBS ..thats the way to advance and have full benefits ..everything else is on shaky gorounds ..try post office ,local zoning etc ..guys from Nigeria know what I'm talking about ..good luck

uh dude your link is sooooo depresive ...take into consideration that that women after 2 years here do not speak any english !!

one more thing to take into consideration ..dollar is losing value .. so what ever you make :earn in the US is gonna evaporate another 10-15% in the next 12 months so that too should be included in taxes ...so all in all your tax would come to around 50% of your paycheck not calculating other taxes you gonna pay

all your guesses are wrong my ''friends ''. ....I' m US citizen for almost 4 years now ...and i don't write crap about US ..US IS CREATING CRAP BY ITSELF these days ..and A LOT OF IT ..I just merely state the facts ......at the moment I'M CLOSING MY BUSINESS here so in autum I will be back home in my country after 9 years ...and no I did not go bankrupt !..peace out

Praha,

You said the same thing last year that you gonno close your business and returne back to your conutry last year, but to my amassement you are still in the States.

Please go find yourself a job.

I do have a job ... but closing it ..its not that simple ...anyways its almost 90% finished ...thank god

hope you will "find the job " easy when you come over

just piece of advice .. when you start looking for the job don't be a sissy and open your wallet ..for example if hiring manager ask you for a "gift" or something .. that means he needs a bribe in order to employ you ...just a hint

DON'T INVEST MONEY IN STOCK MARKET OR US GOV. BONDS

CHANGE DOLLARS IN EUROS OR SWISS FRANCS OR BRITISH POUNDS AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE DOLLARS IN YOUR ACCOUNT (EITHER FROM YOUR PAY CHECK OR FROM BUSINESS DEAL )

some friends of mine pooled money so they would get canned food from Europe on regular basis ( cheaper then in the US ).. maybe you will find that bit too extreme but it works because it save them about 30% on costs of food in the US

I'm invested in the Stock Market and between mid 2009 - end 2010 as markets were recovering, I saw a 54% growth. YTD 2011 I've seen 14% growth. Now, I'm not saying that its always going to be like that, but I am saying that while its very easy to lose money in (any) stock market, its also possible to make money from your investment. It needs patience and more crucially educating yourself, especially to protect against heavy losses when it becomes a bear market. Maybe - and I'm only just speculating here - thats why as you state in fact #1, 83% of U.S. stock is in the hands of 1% of the people. If you place yourself amongst that 1% then thats another opportunity.

Its not all rosy in America I admit, but, hey its not all that bad either, and certainly not as bad as a lot of other places. And it will get better.

..oh well you will lose it ALL at the end ...its a nature of the system ..you are getting greedy and will become reckless..and that would be the end of it ..

just by selling dollars and buying say British pounds in the last 12 months you could make 20% easy with no risk and by keeping pounds on long term savings account in some EU countries you would accumulate further 7% ...that beats any kind of small change you will make by playing on stock market because in essence you are betting that US economy and GP would sink even lower and unemployment would rise ..which is I should say a sure thing .;with rising fuel and food prices its like shooting fish in the barrel ..US economy is highly monopolized so its not brainer

my opinion is that its not rosy and its getting worse..the thing that I'm trying to say that this country could not sustain prolonged crisis.. every day in the crisis is creating cracks in American society which is IMPOSSIBLE TO REPAIR ;;; and all that would go till the EVERY OPTION IS ON THE TABLE ..civil unrest ...splitting up the country ...to god knows what ..simply put it this countrys "ruling class " has no clue which way to go in the times like this ..all this anti immigration hysteria is fine example of all the things which are just under surface and coming up to destroy this society ...

once again ..I would not keep us dollars in stocks or in the bank ..would get rid of it asap ..keep only small amounts for day to day functioning ...

Hahaha. That's a bold prediction dude. I will lose it ALL at the end. How comes not everyone lost it all. What did they do that others didnt do to protect themselves ? Thats why I say its crucially important to educate oneself about the market (or anything else for that matter) before just going in and risking your hard earned money. Its can be a risky vehicle to investment, coz of the potential to end up like you said, but at the same time, it can also be a great investment vehicle. I'd love to get into the nitty-gritty of the stock market and how smart investors have earned while others lose, but this is not the appropriate forum, plus I' be going off topic from the original post.
But I'm optimistic that things are getting better. And I hope you see a turn around of things too.

hm too few "investors"made money by trading stocks ..you think you are that good ?..fine ..I think you will fail for the reasons i told you .. its all natural ..thats how that system works ...lure you with possibilities ..when I moved to the US stocks where so high it was crazy ..it crashed in 2001 never to recover ..EVERYBODY I knew who played that game lost ....

trading stocks is all about inside deals and inside trading

now problem with US is that is NOT PRODUCING ANYTHING ANYMORE ;;;that alone is A BIG OBSTACLE FOR ANY KIND OF GROWTH in the next decade or so ..but by then as I said anything is possible and when the partial /partisan and local policies take over no growth would happen ever again unless complete change of the system (social, economic, political etc ) happens

by then US as we know it won't even exists ...the end

I 'll stick with good old currency trading ..switch dollars to ANYTHING ELSE and you already won ..just by sending money you made in the US elsewhere you will earn more then enough and beat all the negative effects of dollar loosing value

..I remember when NASDAQ was trading over 5000...waiter in the restoran where I worked had a portofolio of more then 400 000 dollars back then -I just arrived to US then and thought wow this is the country to be ..but in space of 6 months all was gone ..that guy ad a nervous breakdown and lost all of his hair (it just fell out in one night )

lost everything and quit his job ..probably died or went back to Mexico
today NASDAQ is maybe above 2000..that gives you a pretty good idea where the economy stands these days ..its basically over ..but new immigrants are coming and they do not know what happened before and they think same as me ..wow .. this is the country to be but in fact every year is worst then before .;since I got here every year was little bit worst ten the last ..

please stop it stooooooooooop it , that worst scenario is not common to everybody, I lived in us for 3 years , my sisters and friends live there and things are great with them. If you are not happy just take your luggage and leave the country. USA is not a paradise of course but it is and remain a country of opportunity and lot of Dv winners succeed in the long run .............

They might want to switch to cat food. Much cheaper and has all the nutrients.
