I am eligible to apply for US Citizenship but I lost my Green Card. Am I required to apply for replacement before applying for Citizenship? Please, advise.

ExEB1Waiter said:I have been searching for my and my wife's GC for the past two nights and am unable to find them. They are not in the usual spot though I am still looking. The last time we used them was during our fingerprinting, which was on 10/15/2005.
Our interview is scheduled for Monday, January 23. Clearly there is not enough time for us to get a replacement card.
Would do folks here suggest? Do we cancel our interviews or show up without a green card?
We were also planning a trip to Europe and Asia in March-April which will now have to wait.

I was told NOT to worry about it. Take a photocopy and they can look up everything else.
