hello guys

i have a friend, she married to a green card holder. recently, she received the i-797 approval notice, and case is transferred to NVC,but she is still not receive case number. while she is still waiting ,where she can tell she has an address change, to NVC OR other department? And she's in pregnancy, how she can add her future baby into her application?

thanks!!!!

Well, I honestly don't know where the notice of change of address should be sent when the case is at the NVC. Should check the packet they sent, it might say where to send a change of address.

As for her future baby, it, like all other child cases, cannot be added to an I-130. A separate I-130 will have to be filed by the father, unless the child is born in the U.S., which would make the child a citizen of course.

One thing. The woman is now pregnant, but is out of the country awaiting consular processing? This sometimes causes a problem because the visa officers will wonder how she got pregnant with her spouse's child when the spouse lives in another country. If the two were not together at the time that she became pregnant, this will create a serious problem.

her husband went to her countryto see her,and stayed for some time.that's why she is pregnant.i think the baby will automatically get citizenship because the father is a us citizen.

I thought you said the father only had a greencard? And even if the father was a U.S. citizen, the child would not gain automatic citizenship if the child was born outside the U.S. and the father was not residing with the child. The father would still have to file an I-130. Once the child was lawfully admitted for permanent residence then the child would gain automatic citizenship and the father could file for a certificate of citizenship for the child.
