green card expiring in 2 days

my green card expires on april 26th (sunday) i couldn't send the documents today and will send tomorrow. if they don't work on saturday and get it on monday, will they throw away my application because my status expired 4/25/2009 11:59 PM? can i go drop off in person tomorrow? it's not too far away from me. thank you thank yoU!
 
overnight it and get proof of delivery. even if they get it on monday they will still process it.

Your status does not expire with GC expiration. You are PERMANENT resident. It's only actual card that expires.
 
thanks both for answering. voldemarv, so what do you mean? i know if i'm even a day late, they will deport me.

i can really go in person so if nobody's 10000% sure, i thank i'm going to do that?

are you filing for conditions removal or a plastic GC renewal?
In any case, post offices are open on Saturdays, they will date-stamp your mail.
 
so it's strictly on postmarked date, yes? i fedexed it overnight today and was assured it'll be there by tomorrow. not sure if it's going to be bad because of the fact i fedexed it instead of using usps because they are two separate addresses. i hope the officer sees the date of shipment and be cool about it if it arrives on his/her desk on monday or even after that. thanks!
 
nobody will be there to accept it tomorrow. I don't think Fedex delivers on Sundays anyway. It'll be there on monday.
 
You have filed an I-90 or I-751?
