Green Card Eligible

Hi all,

I wanted to clarify a few things, as i am still unsure even after speaking to the US embassy in London.

My brother holds a Green Card, however he lives in the UK currently, can he on that basis still apply for me and my wife?

I am not sure if he has to be living in the United States in order for him to apply.

Your help is very much appreciated.

Rgds,

He can only apply for his siblings if he was a US Citizen, as a LPR of US he can only petition for his spouse and children.

If he is living in the UK, he has the potential of losing his GC. Residency requirements are strict. "Visiting" the US to maintain a GC is not acceptable. He is affecting his timing to naturalization. And he would need to reside in the US to file.

LPR have only limited category o family they can petition. Siblings is not one of them. Only a USC can petition a sibling.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback, unfortunately he is married now, hence he is living here. Just out of curiosity what does LWT mean?
