Will they take away the green card during interview? I have an international trip coming up soon after the interview/oath, don't know whether will have enough time to get the new passport. Hoping they can still let me keep the green card for travel before I can get the new passport issued.

Green card is taken away at oath. It is no longer valid once you become a citizen.

If you have immediate travel plans, make an appointment at a passport office where you can get a passport issued same day or next day if you can show proof of urgent travel (ticket or itinerary). Click here for more information.

Just curious, do you need your passport for the oath?

I am sending my passport for renewal right after my interview, would they need me to present it/show it at the oath ceremony?

Thanks

After the interview, as long as you don't have to come back for a second interview, CIS won't need your non-US passport.
