Grad School

So I'll have my Bachelor of Science degree in 3 weeks and I am now applying for grad school. Anyways admissions from the grad school emailed this morning basically stating that I am not considered a PR and may have to pay international student tuition plus they kept asking me for a green card.

So I am basically dealing with a person that has no clue as to what they are doing. Does anyone have a link to a government site that explains what an Asylee is and their status? I had some links but lost them last year. I also did a google search and came up with nothing official. Thanx.

Can you tell me which state is that (since it is obvious from your message that you are talking about a public university)? I will try to help you look up the applicable state law.

I think that is a private school and everybody pays the same tuition, right? So there should not be a problem.

Public universities in Florida definitely consider asylees as eligible for in-state tuition rates.

Taurusborn,

What is the real story here? You first said that you got an email from your school asking about your status. But then it turned out that it is a private institution.

Thats what she said via email that I was an international student, anyways I got to talk with her boss its all fixed. :)

FromBasra, Stop interviewing people. Just give your insight if you have one; otherwise keep low profile if you don't understand the situation. Follow the lead of Thankful. See how he is knowledgable, helpful and courteous whereas you acting as though you are detective......

Shut Up

You are very rude frombasra. Either you behave, or go back to Basra.
we are here to help each other, so if you have something useful, you are welcome.
Basically he is applying (not yet in graduate school) and the admission office thinks he is international student, as he doesn't have greencard. Got it?

FromBasra I hate to be rude, but you are not helpful. I appoligize to you if I offended you, but on this forum we don't care language and spelling or even language. All we care is helpful posts. The reason I said you are not helpful is you only attack people and analyze their skills. We are not in class room here........So please if you have insight offer it. otherwise shut up....By the way I am in John F Keneday School of Government.......i don't need to be sent back to ESL...

This is not Basra, It is The "United States Of America". All you need is hard work...You don't have to suffer in pain in vian... You can be in any school...There are certain areas of the world where you have to live in dreams, but that is not America. Welcome to America, Good luck, and learn how respect people.
