Do I still need my I-94 to travel?

Also is there anything I need to do before leaving US so that I can re-enter?

No. You never needed an I-94 to leave the US.

I-94 was needed even when you leave, because its a "Departure and Arrival Record".

But since you are a Permanent Resident, you no longer need to handover your old I-94 when you leave US, and you no longer need to fill one when re-enter US.
