Got my 2nd FP today

My lawyer sent me a PDF file for my 2nd FP today and they have scheduled it for 11/02/2004. I am planning to go today and get this done.

I dont have the original 2nd FP notice. Can i go with just the what the lawyer has sent me?
 
No you will have to wait for the original document. Since you will have to submit it along with your fingerprints.

But congratulations nonetheless. As long as something is moving, you are in good shape. I predict an early christimas gift in the offing! :)
 
yes i am waiting for that x-mas gift since last 2 yrs....you should have seen the grin on my face this morning....

2 of my colleagues got approved after 3-4 weeks of 2nd FP...

Today I went for my 2nd FP. I didnt have the orginal yet they accepted the copy which my attorney sent me. Also this was early FP since my scheduled date was 2nd Nov.
 
Pretty darn cool! :) Now it is a matter of 6 weeks. Hold your hat Dorothy, you are going to enter the rabit hole. This is possibly the worst phase of the entire application when you just know everything is ready and waiting just a couple of stamps. Hopefully that should happen SOON!

Yes, These 6-8 weeks are going to be most religious weeks for me. Prayers everyday, no drinks, no unholy things, no bitching about my 485. Grin on my face is getting bigger and bigger....lets see what happens in next few weeks....

Another thing the LUD for me and my wife changed yesterday 10/27, the message is still the same...She appclied a derivate applicant in March 2004.

i think we are on the same page... i completed my 2nd FP on 10/22/04 (scheduled date was 11/19).. the LUD changed on 10/27 .. so lets wait and watch :) unfortunately i had to take couple of drinks yesterday - GO RED SOX !!! - hope it doesnt affect my approvals.

I wanted know your LUDs to figure out when I get the 2nd FP notice? According to my survey based on this forum, most people got the 2nd FP notice in 30 days after the LUD was changed. I hope I get the 2nd FP soon. Thanks again..

I like to recommend that you had better make inquiry about that you have done your second FP. It will make your I485 be processed faster. I have read many cases like this in this forum. Sometimes officer of USCIS may not know soon that you have done FP. Just let USCIS realize your action!!!
My coworker made inquiry in two weeks after he did FP, and he got approved in 21 days after FP.
 
I would say expect you 2nd FP in mid Nov to 3rd week Nov. Also call the customer service number. I did that too and my lawyer send 2 inquiry i think that why they sent me the 2nd FP.

Mygcwaiter100! thank you for your encouragement for me.
When you got the FP notice, did your online message change? It means "FP request was mailed to you on Oct...."
Someone got the message and some others don't have it...
 
Message is still the same for me after the 2nd FP, It still shows the message from 2002 FP. Will call in a day or two and find out the status. Sometimes they take more than a week to update the message. Just keep on pinging them and tell your lawyer to do the same..hopefully something will turn up...

I got the 2nd FP on Nov 5, and I did it on the next day, Nov 6, 2004. LUD changed on Nov 10, 2004, and online message was changed as "Nov 10, 2004 finger prints were received blah blah..."
But, LUD of my wife has not changed yet...
 
Did your wife also went for 2nd FP same day as you?

Yes, we did on the same day... but her LUD and online message have not changed.... I don't know... My coworker got approved without any changes such as online message and LUDs after the 2 FP.
Weird INS!!! Who knows?
