got IL and DESCHEDULE letter !!! (Durham, NC)

long time thread reader... first time to post...

Hi to all. This would be my first time posting a comment, but my fiance and I have been following this thread since August 2008. Here is my timeline (courtesy of swiftswan):

May 12, 2008 - sent N400 to TSC (Raleigh/Durham DO)
June 11, 2008 - fingerprinting @ Durham DO
Aug 9, 2008 - received 1st IL (notice date Aug 4th) for Oct 31, 2008 interview @ Durham DO
Aug 11, 2008 - received De scheduling notice(notice date Aug 5th)
Sept 22, 2008 - received 2nd IL, Re schedule letter (notice date Sep 17th) for Nov 3, 2008 (3days forward from initial date)
Nov. 3, 2008 - interview, 10:40am @ Durham DO
oath date ???
 
WooHoo!! Rescheduling letters arrived today! :D

New ID = 11/19/08 :cool:

Considering the folks who started after me and got rescheduled earlier confirms that they follow a haphazard process... :rolleyes:

If I had paid $675 for this lousy service, I would have been really mad! :mad:
 
Oath office

We did the interview in Durham at 301 roycroft drive,which wasnt easy to find on the internet since the building is so new.We are scheduled for Oct. 3 rd.That is this friday.We just got the letters Saturday,yesterday.The first letter said show up at 10:30 am .the next letter we opened said we had been rescheduled from 9:30am(not 10:30am)to 1:30 pm the same day.It said the oath was in U S districit court eastern district of N C and gave the same address as the interview..301 roycroft drive.Is this the same building the interview was done in.We interviewd on the second floor so maybe it is the first floor.To be honest I didnt look at the other offices in the building.Thank you for any help.

USCIS has several oath planned at the Durham DO (301 Roycroft) next week. They are all held in same building where you had interview.
 
Gas please

I was wondering, as a side note,if feul shortages will affect long drives to Durham.MY brother lives in Charlotte and has had some trouble getting gas to go to work.We live 3 hours away from Durham and heve no trouble with feul here but I was wondering about gas to get home with.Does anyone know the gas situation in raleigh/Durham.Thanks again.

I haven't seen any oil shortages yet in the Raleigh Durham area. I think the oil shortages in Charlotte and Asheville we have seen lately should slowly fade over the next weeks as oil shipments normalize after Hurricane Ike..
 
oath ceremony

Can you take photos at the oath.During the process to get to the oath they act like they will bury you under the place if you have a camera or a phone.

You may take pictures after oath, but not during oath according to an IO I spoke to during recent Infopass.
 
just bumping this thread to see if anyone else got a 2nd (or even 1st) descheduling letter.
Please post here if you do, and post your timelines, too.
 
I had my schedule cancled as well back in Sept. and nothing heard from them since. The letter that explains exactly same word as yours and I had to take my finger print again in Sept. on FBI rejection purpose. As I glance through all comments from others, my journey was going to be end soon because of that bio-metric request, but did not go through as I hoped


So I went to infopass last week and found out that they didnt get my file from TSC. Also IO told me that my security check had been cleared (I have no idea if that means my all back ground checks were completed? any one knows?)
They put service request to TSC on my file and ask me to wait 30~45days. and I am still sitting here waiting.

Sounds like all your name checks have all cleared but file never made it from TSC. Schedule another Infopass after 30 days if you don't hear anything and ask to speak to supervisor.

I just recieved my IL today and feel like it will be ended soon and hope that I would not stuck in Oath delay again after this interview. It will be Jan 12th 6:50AM(surprised how early they set me up). I will be keep posting my journey after the interview.
