Got Denied Asylum By Immigration Judge, On Appeal...HELP PLZ

Hi All,

i was interviewed and denied and went to Immigration Judge and denied, So now im appealing it and waiting for it. However, the judge permanently stopped the clock so i cannot get my ssn or any other stuff. Why is it happenning to me and why is the judge doing this?

is there anyway i can get my social security number? are there people in the same situation as I am? Please help...

Queen I can only imagine what it must feel like to get that kind of response. That was at one time most people's nightmare. That said, we cannot offer you any advice or input without knowing any details with regards to your case... why the immigration judge? when did you apply? under what circumstances? if you throw in your country maybe that might encourage those from your country to assist. So share the 411 and maybe someone will relate and share.

While you decide what to do, what are your plans?
 
What is the time line? From the time you filed the application with the Asylum Office to the time of denial by the judge, how much time passed? If it was less than 180 days then by law the clock has to be stopped and you cannot get a work permit based on the asylum request.
 
there is no way u get ssn when ur case is denied by judge or officer!
so make some sense man!

U get nothing that's why it is denied. you only get SS and other papers if you get approved.

by the way, i wish you very luck in your appeal process!

I was told by the lady at the international institure that unless I found someone to sponsor me for F1 i dont know what to do but pray

I got a finger print notice called told to go ahead and go
for the Finger prints
 
queenaj i do understand what a pain you might be in.first my advice is contact an attorney.it is not lost yet.you stil do have a chance for withholding or removeal and The CAT convention against torture.keep your head up,keep praying and contact your lawyer,if you donnot or didnt have one then make sure you do have one now in your appeal.you need one.you can get withholding or removal hopefully you are eligible for that.do your apeal.if you provided much info on your circumstance maybe you would have gotten much of a helpful info.but my advice is dont give up.keep praying and contact a lawyer asap.God Bless You

i was denied by thr immigration officer in 1996, in 1998 in was denied again by the IJ,

I APPEALED MY CASE AT THE BIA, I WAS LUCKY I WON MY APPEAL ON 2000
