got a job offer but EAD pending for 88 days...

Hi All

I am quite tensed right now because I have recently got a job offer and have to join the company from this week. The employer is asking for EAD within 3 days of joining as per I-9 form. My EAD I-765 is pending for the past 88 days at texas service center...i just got a receipt confirmation at the beginning...but didnt get even biometrics notice or anything else after that....status shows pending...i took an infopass appointment and went to the field office ...the officer just told me that he has to check and will send a mail to the service center to expedite the case...i requested him for interim EAD to which he said lemme check whether we can still provide that...............i really dont know what is going on...its damn frustrating...can someone plz tell me what should i do in this situation...and will i get an interim EAD after 2 days once i complete 90 days? how should i convince the employer to wait for a few days?????

it has no role and the USCIS is no longer issuing interim EADs. keep sending requests to expedite your card, Infopass and wait. try to convince the employer by any way but you can not start unless you have the card in your hand.

Almost Same Situation

I AM GOING THROUGH SAME SITUATION.... MY I-765 got approved 1 moth back but i ahve not got my EAD yet. i am supposed to attend orientation classes for my job in the first week of november ...but GOD knows if i will be able to get my EAD in my hands upto that time..... God help me.
