I guess the settled lawsuit is finally yielding some outstanding results. My cousin, who applied for adjustment (I-485) in August 2000 has received a notice of approval. I repeat, he applied August 2000 and was approved yesterday! He has done his FP 11 months ago. I am not sure if this is an exceptional case, but I bet you that we will have a huge jump in the I-485 processing date before next October. Godspeed and best of luck to those who are waiting for adjustment.

Not to toot my own horn but thats what i Predicted..! and everyone called me nuts..My dates are correct that I had done research on...Everyone said i was crazy and I had to see a shrink...If you guys get your GCs, i want y'all to pay the bill..mind you!

Great News

Thanks Shamshon for sharing the great news.
Wantmygcnow, I never doubted your dates. I thought they were very logical and make perfect sense. Could you share your spreadsheet with us, I think you forgot to email it to me.
Thanks

wantmygcnow, you said this FY (before Oct 05) we'll have approvals until Dec 2000, my calculations are until Oct 1 /00 (linear prorate), right now we just have Shamshon's cousin on August, let's see what happens.
Don't claim victory yet :)

I am not sure what you are asking. His receipt date was some time in August 2000 (I did not ask him about the exact date, but I will check when I see him this weekend) and he got his approval Wednesday. He is going nuts!!!!

Shamshon! yes plz ask him his exact ND.

wantmygcnow! Can you make your spread sheet public and post it on this forum as xls attachment. I think we all would appreciate that.

To the contrary

wantmygcnow, do not forget my prior advice in protecting your IP. You may need to require all users to accept a license. You should not part with such a a cash cow lightly. :)

I wish we could all meet some day.

Like, when we all have our green cards, rent a resort somewhere and party. I know, I know, not possible, but it would be really cool.

Shamson, You sure your cousin isn't a refugee?...It don't make sense..I think if you really want to help some of the asylees here..maybe anyone with the RD date of 8/00 or b4 should cite shamson's cousin as an example..How can this be when they are not even processing over 12/99??

that's great news shamson!

wantmygcnow: can you please give me an approximate calculation for my RD july 2001? thank you so much...

His receipt date was August 20th 2000. He applied for political asylum in 1996 and was approved in June 1999 after seeing an IJ. I recall someone whose ND was on March, so the processing date in INS is not the real one.

Well asluser posted these new timeframe dates and they dont make sense if they have processed your cousins 08/00 application:

Date Received (Mail Date) Timeframe to be Processed
Feb. 18, 1996 - May. 30, 2000 Oct. 1, 2004 - Sep. 30, 2005

Oct. 1, 2002 - Feb. 6, 2003 Oct. 1, 2009 - Sep. 30, 2010

Yes they are moving even faster "wantmygcnow". Thats a good thing. I think that they are taking this 33,000 seriously (or being forced to take it seriously). Someone posted that he/she has received RFE whose ND was May 2000.
I think that takes into account additional 8000 visas for this fiscal year (total 18,000). Otherwise how come dates have moved 1-2 backwards for all? The reason they have posted it now (as opposed to Oct 2004) is that lawsuit has settled now, so they have speed up the process to comply this fiscal year.

So you are saying that the timeframes above will change again??...and they are not right? I mean the above fiscal year 1 is still till may00..with additinal 8,000 it should change.dont u think?

wantmygcnow

the bottom line is that these dates were NEVER accurate, I am surprised you are actually taking them seriously.

From my spreadsheet (another thread) where I track few applications, we have peope with RD in Jan, Feb, April and May 2000 that have received RFE, which means that of course they are processing applications over 12/19/1999, they just don't advertise that fact.
