Good Bye and Good luck people

All,

I am withdrawing from this forum effective tonight. I simply cannot devote so much time to delete inappropriate messages and keep everybody happy. A few people here have been doing their best to spoil the the climate here. Checking messages here is not interesting anymore.

This week marks the third anniversary of my participation here. It is a good way to mark the end, having posted more than 1000 messages.

To Alanpero and Jack (if you are still here), thank you for your cyber friendships.

To Shamshon: I enjoyed the ways you saw things. I hope the November election results will make you happy, since you are so fervent about them.

To RAsylee: Good luck to you and to your family in Canada.

Farewell and in due course I am sure everyone here will become a proud American citizen.

If anyone wants to reach me on a real asylum-law issue, please send me an email at <asyleelaw@netscape.net>. I will do my best to reply.

I understand your decision and want to thank you for your valuable participation in this forum, which by the way, is no longer what used to be in the past. You have made an outstanding contribution, nobody can deny that. Thanks again and good luck in everything.

Gilbert, please reconsider your decision. Please try to understand that these folks who attack you probably have issues with trusting people. Can you blame them? they could not trust their countrymen and were uprooted from their countries. Can they trust you or anyone? I do not think so. You have helped many asylees figuring out things and noone can fill this gap. When i try to answer a question i always say refer to Gilbert since you seem to have such a vast legal experience. Please do not go and stay in this forum. As for those who attacked you I wont attack them . I will say that i understand that you have to work on trusting people. You also have to understand that the role of moderator is to "moderate." Meaning, he or she has to remove any provocative or frivilous posts. Again, Gilbert, there are many members in this forum and they all need your help. Noone can fill the gap.

We'll Miss You!!!

Gilbert I just wanted for you to be aware that you made to a great extent this group worthwhile and kept it extremely informative...

Thank you for your time and devotion to this group.

Gilbert, You should attempt to log on and check on posts once in a while? We here like your input. Even if you are not an admin, you can be a user of these incredible boards..

Gilbert,

I would like to thank you much for your dedicated time and effort to answer everybody's question. Indeed, reading your postings gave us a lot of hope that somebody is out there looking for us and knows what he says. I know there are better things to do in life than watching or deleting crazy people's postings. Well what can you say? I wish you all the best in your life and carrer.

wish you all the best and thank you very much for everything. If you ever need anything in the future, you know where to find us. However, it would be nice to check from time to time ...

Hey Gilbert,

I do not visit this section that often, but whenever I do - I get a good amount of knowledge from you. It is OK to leave moderator's post, but it is not fair to say goodbye to forum.

There is a saying in India - when one elephant crosses the road - thousand dogs (may) bark. Elephant still maintains its 'royal' aspect.

For you a small gift from my side:

I hope to see nice posts from you.

Gilbert,

I just returned from my trip last night and this morning I saw this dissappionted news from you. I am sorry to hear that you are leaving the forum. I just wanted to thank you for all the efforts and insights that you have contributed to this board. Good luck to you.

Gilbert,
I would like to say a personal BIG Thank you for everything you have done to this forum.
Thank you for your advice in my case ( age-out with my son application)
I didn’t post anything for a wile , but I checked this forum every day for the past years.
I had nothing to tell you about my case until today. In an hour I am going for interview in the local INS. I am so scared, I can not believe it is almost over. ( 12, 5 years)
Anyway, I wish you the best and regret that I will not share with you decision on my case.
All the best to you, Irina
