Giving up other citizenship?

Hi guys
I would appreciate any help. When becoming a US citizen does one have to give up her/his other citizenship through legal paperwork and procedure, or is it a pledge on high moral grounds. I have seen so many people with dual even triple citizenship ...
I could never been able to find an iron clad answer. I would appreciate any answer and shared experience.

There is no obligation to renounce other citizenship in a manner that the other country will recognize.

It depends what your original citizenship is.

The US does not force you to give up any citizenship that you have, but the other country may.

Thank you guys. That helps a lot. Ye, my country does recognizes dual citizenship, but that is still a subsiduary of the general European Union framework in many ways.
Glad to be here again! This forum has always pulled me out of paranoid question marks
