Hi,

It seems my oath ceremony is on April 23, 2009 (was told by the IO officer at INFOPASS appointment). And I need to travel as soon as I can after the ceremony. I made an airline reservation for May 6, 2009. What would be the best way to get a passport within 10 days after ceremony. I have to purchase the ticket in next couple of weeks in order not to loose my reservation.

Thanks,
M

Where do you live? Check and see if there's a Passport Agency nearby. They are able to issue passports within the same day, if there is a need.

If a passport agency is nearby, you can get it the same day you take oath. I did that.

But you will have to set up an appointment in advance. Also, you will have to show your upcoming travel itinerary.
