Getting married to an F-1 visa holder while waiting for citizenship

I have had a green card for 6+ years and applied for citizenship
in Dec 2001. I am planning on getting married to an F-1 visa holder
who is in the US doing her Ph.D. I will be getting married in July
when I will still be a GC holder. Our plan is for me to get a citizenship
first and then sponsor her for GC. Will there be any problems owing
to the fact that I will be getting married while waiting for citizenship?

With all due respect, why are you answering a post from June 2002 ??? This is quite incomprehensible.-

benefit for every one.

Ok, I did answer the post from 2002 for following reasons. Let me ask. Are this answers for the benefit of OP or anyone which has interest in knwoing immigration procedures/precedence which may affect some one some day?
If you agree with me that it is for everyones benefit, than why to be so narrowminded to only address something which was left not answered even after 10 years. there are living people going through the same situation like the OP 7 years ago. Agree or disagree plz.

While I can understand someone opening a 7 year old thread if the question was relevant and not discussed in the last 6 months, I did not understand someone going through all his old posts and responding to a criticism which was made 8 months back. To each his own, I guess.
