Hi guys, new here, but I'll just jump straight to the question.
I have been married to a usc for over 3yrs. Married 2006, filled my 1-485 in 03/2007

Got my interview this August and the interviewer adviced that I will be issued a 10 yrs. GC.

Now whats bugging me is, on the welcome letter, the last paragraph mentions that my GC is conditional :confused:not to mention which I just learnt that after the interview, my passport should have been stamped.

Anyone had this happen to them or anyone with a clue as to what may be in play here? please advice and thanks in advance.

Friend,

I would wait for the card to arrive in the mail and check how long is valid for before making an infopass. Remember that it is possible they send you a letter with wrong wording and the actual card might be correct...:)

Are you traveling anytime soon? If not, then you don't need the stamp as they anticipate mailing you the card in the next 30 days or so...:D

Ditto on what Al said, wait on the card and you were told wrong, you do not need a stamp but can get one if you need to travel soon

Interesting day for me. Just received the GC in the mail, wow, that was less than 7days since my approval, but like I posted earlier, this was a mistake all the way, because the GC has 2yrs. on it. I guess now its filling out the infopass. I have also talked to customer service and was adviced to first do the infopass for a passport stamp, then will also need to submit the Form I-90 together with supporting docs. and the GC too. I'm assuming supporting docs is just my marriage cert. anyone can advice and I will be grateful. thanks all.

By the way my approval letter shows Class of Admission :IR6 and my welcome letter CR6

So far: set up on infopass and went in for appointment. Was adviced to fill out and send form I-90. This was done and now waiting.
