GC questions

Dear Friends,
I am new here. Ask a question on behalf of my friends. Thanks in advance.
The couple filed 485 5 years ago after NIW based 140 approved (wife was the primary applicant). The lived together then and the marriage was fine. The became living apart two years ago. Now the wife got her GC(received by mail), but husband needed an interview. Should they tell the truth? (I think they should). However, what will happen to his GC, he won't get it ? OR there is a chance that he will be fine. 5 years is a long time. No guarantee on anyone's marriage without problems for that long.
I thank you for them any suggestions!

Always tell the truth in interviews, otherwise if they find out you are lying you will be automatically excluded.

Thank you. I agree with you. Does anyone know a similar case? Will the husband be still getting the GC or no chance for him?

They live in the same city, but different places for 2 years. So I am not sure, in US, if they are still legally married. They were definitely fine 5 years ago when they filed 485. Who knows it's going to take 5 years to get the GC.
Thank you guys very much for your help.

GC holder and tourist visa future spouse

Hi, I'm in the U.S and I'm gonna start a process to get my
U.S citizenship because I have my GC for more than 7 years..
The problem is my fiancé is in Brazil and they say the U.S citizenship
is a very long process and I really don't wanna be a long time away from him...we have been together for 2 years and we want to get married and live our life in the U.S

My question is:

1. Can he come to the U.S with a tourist visa and we get married while I'm still a GC holder so he can stay here legally while my citizenship doesn't come out? will he be able to work/study?

2. If it's not possible what would be the best way that he can come legally and stay with me so we don't have to be seperated?

PS: we don't really care how long it would take for him to get his papers if we get married while I'm a greencard holder. What we most care about is not being separated for too long from each other as long as he is legal and authorized to work/study ;)

Thanks!!
