GC processing! Need information

I have a question regarding GC processing which may be stupid but still want to make sure.

How will USCIS sort GC application processing? I mean based on PD or based on what date 485 reached USCIS?

What if the Priority Date become current for a particular category? In that case will that category be processed in order?

Since when CIS processing case based on PD? I wish this is true.

For affected countries, PD is only used to determine whether your date is current.

As I understand it, application processing is done based on RD. But, then again some approvals seem quite random.
