my wife has married name on passport..
her gc has maiden name..

been researching if i will have problems with POE and it seems ok..
we'll just bring marriage certificate

any opinion?

we do plan to have get gc match passport name.. but we just got gc and may take months to change..

She will face problems specially when boarding a plane to the US and her passport name and GC name won't match. Get it fixed ASAP even if it means getting a passport in her maiden name.
In hindsight you SHOULD have taken care of this at the time of GC application.

-----------------Name on GC, DOB on GC and passport should be same.

her name on GC is USCIS mistake or she wrote her married name on her I-485?
if her passport has married name and on her I-485 form she wrote her married name then it is USCIS mistake on card. file form I-90(no fee) if she wrote maiden nameon I-485 then it is not USCIS mistake.

it is not USCIS mistake.. she just changed her name recently to married name.. her passport and gc are maiden name.. she change passport to married name..
but not yet GC

anyway i have googled this already and it wont be a problem.. i just need to bring marriage certificate.. i am just asking more personal experience here..

AND NOT ASSUMPTIONS FROM PEOPLE WHO DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT :D

---------------------she should also change name on her GC and her GC should be with married name so that passport and GC have same name and DOB. She will need to file I-90 with fee and with evidence of her name change. Search for form I-90.

My wife has her maiden name on her passport and married name on her GC and we have never had an issue boarding a flight (tickets always issued with her maiden name as on her passport).

Also never had an issue with a ticketing agent questioning the name or an issue during entry.

agree. didn't have a problem either. My GC has my married name, my passport still has my maiden name. I have a copy of marriage certificate with me, though I wasn't asked to present it.
