I am currently GC holder and eligible to apply for Citizenship in July' 2009. My fiancee is on F1 (OPT Since Jan'2009) and we want to get married next month and apply I-130 for her. Will there be any issues when i apply for my citizenship and also will she have any impact as long as she maintains her F1(OPT) status until i get my citizenship. Any information or feedback is appreciated.

What would be the impact if he/she has to travel out of country and return to US during this process?.

The better thing would be to wait until you get your citizenship....as the i-130 filing by a GC would take very long. It might not even clear befor you get ur citizenship.
If you apply after getting citizrnship, it will take 6 to 8 months for your spouse to get the GC

Just a advice....I am not an attorney....

Thanks

And your wife, on OPT, as you wait for yr citizenship, should NOT travel outside the country. OPT does not guarantee re-entry. She should wait until she gets her AP... and travel - if she hasn't overstayed for more than 180 days beyond her OPT's expiration. Actually my OPT said 60days. But I think USCIS says 180 days.
