GC by marrying a US Citizen

I am currently a GC holder in the middle of my Citizenship processing, should hopefully get my citizenship by july-august, 2009. I will be getting married to a canadian GC holder in November and will be filing for her U.S. GC after that. What is the best scenario to apply for her GC, should she just move here after the marriage with me since she has a tourist visa already and then apply for her US GC from here, in which case she will have to quit her job and do nothing here, or can I file for her GC while she stays in Canada and move here to the US once she obtains her GC. In the latter case, would she be able to travel to the US occasionally? Since she already has a US tourist visa for 10 years.

Any help will be much appreciated since we are looking at all the possible ways of applying for her GC.
 
Go through the CP route after you become a citizen.
