GC and your home country

Hi everyone.I have a q-n. What is going to happen if AFTER you get your Green Card you visit your Home country? It is probebly have been discassed somewere in this forum,but i couldn't find it. I think there are a lot of us, that under different circomstenses of our lifes here, need to go for short visit in your home country. Did anyone went back home after getting a GC in This forum?

I did go back home but it was for emergency reason check the thread i posted on 01/06/05 titled just came back from home country.
 
I send all forms today by sertify mail. I send on adreess,that appear on right conor of yellow paper. Is it right adress? :( The did not mention where to send. Will wait respond
 
Yes Ashly! Thats where I sent mine and have already received acknowledgement.
by the way they are approving ND: May 2000 people right now (who received their RFE's "not RFI's" a while ago)

I reread your post. Was your national (home country) passport ever stamped before you left the country? Do you just board the plane with the temp I-551 and the passport? In other words, in order to re-enter the US, do you need your passport stamped, or is the green card in itself enough?

Lazer dear, thank you for not adding "duh" to your explanation :p . Obviously I was not clear. The question is:
"Do that passport need to be stamped with anything, or can you just carry the green card with it".
