It's usually fine for many simpler processes like the I-131 application, but for naturalization or AOS, I NEVER relied on it. Often it stops in the testing/interview stage. Really, it's frustrating and quite terrible.

The online status are goofy. The online status is not very trustworthy. I have received the GC and the online status for I-485 says "testing and interview" while the I-130 says "initial review". Dont rely on the online status.
Has anyone had the experience that in the check status section it says card is in production off an AOS on a k-3 visa and no interview. I recieved the EAD and AP and did the fingerprints but we never went to an interview or recieved a welcome letter or approval of AOS letter. Just a e-mail and text saying the document is in production and should arrive within 30 days and that was as of April 19th. Im concerned that the document may never arrive at this point. : (
