From L1/L2 to green card

What is the process one has to follow for this?. I mean I know the company I work for Won't start the process because they would be afraid I jump to some other place. But I don't like to be tied. And would want to start a process for the green card. What can I do? - no lottery visa option-

Is there any way to start this? like a adjustment of Status, as I don;t want to pull my whole family from US to another country just because?.

I have 2 kids and both are citizens and I won't like them to stop having the opportunities they have now just because The company moved me!. They are under 3 years both, so they will come with me wherever I have to go. and Can't stay by themselves.

Is there an specific process I need to follow? Is there already a thread with a similar question?

Do I need to give more information for a more accurate answer?

Your US citizen children are of no benefit for your immigration until age 21 (at this time).

Your employer is under no obligation to file for a GC for you. Even if you find an H1B employer who will do so, it will be very difficult to make it through the labor process as there must be no USC or LPR qualified for or willing to take the job you hold. With 10% unemployment, there are likely hundreds if not thousands of people qualified for your position.

You need to resign yourself to the fact that the possibilities for you to remain in the US at this time after the completion of your L1 (or H1B visa) are very limited. If you did not want to have to move your children either you should not have come to the US or you should not have had children. Sorry to be so blunt but it is a simple truth and the sooner that you realize the limitations of US immigration laws the better off you will be.
 
Well then I'll move with the kids. I didn't have them to stay in US. That's for sure. I might have thousands of people qualified to cover my spot but hey Guess what in several years they couldn't find any that is why they pulled me here. ;) Not so many people have my Phd. :). Nor expertice. But also that is the issue of an extra specialized job, there are not to many places to go and practice my expertise area. :).

I mentioned the kids as they are the only reason I want to stay here. For them to have the opportunities they DESERVE as citizens of this country. But well anyway. I had opportunities while kid in mine so I guess they can also have the same opportunities in other countries. Do not be that judgmental.

I was just requesting information about the process and how to started it, but ;). Guess better start asking a lawyer in person If I don't want people to react a little harsh. :)

A lawyer will spell out the same options for you, albeit using nicer words I guess. However he/she will also charge you $150-$200 for his/her sweet words.
With regards to the diversity lottery, was your spouse also born in a country that is not eligible?

If you are as uniquely qualified as you claim, it makes no sense that your employer would not file for H1B or GC. You need to look at how your L1 salary would compare to that of a USC or LPR to determine if the reluctance to do so is due to the salary requirements that would have to be met in order to do so.
 
it does make sense if they are so afraid of me changing them, what won't really happen because I'm fine there but they won't believe me as that has happened to then A LOT sadly.

my spouse is from Mexico as same as me. so lottery is not an option, Mexico is not taken in count for that anymore

I wish lawyers here charged 150-200 :) they are a little higher ranked around
