Hi
My friend's F1 visa was rejected thrice about 1.5 yrs ago.Now he is trying to get to USA on H1.Is there any chances of denial of his H1 visa on the basis of F1 visa rejections. Please reply soon....Thanks in advance.

Depends on what the rejection reasons were. If it's the usual financial reasons, he or she should be OK now.

Whatever the reason being for F1 rejection (other than any bar for overstay), will not affect H1 approval at all.

Becasue my F1 got rejected two times, when i went for h1 interview, I was so worried, but counsel not even interviewed me , just called me in the PA system to pay the fees in the counter, the same evening I got my H1 in my pp. This was my own exp, that also from Chennai Consulate one of the world meticulous embassy process very high number of H1 and check/conduct intervies thoroughly before issuing visa.

that's nice to know that you went through that senario..but is that general treand ? and when you got your visa?

There is absolutely NO problem with H1 visa if the F1 visa was rejected for being a "potential immigrant".

H (and L visas) allow for complete dual intent (that is even though these visas are non-immigrant, you can still have a immigrant intent) -- this is different from other visas like B and F where your visa gets denied for having a immigrant intent.

A consulate CANNOT deny a H visa for expressing immigrant intent -- the law is very clear on this.
No problems there !
