Frequent travel to Europe, does that affect my green card

I got my green card through DV, now my company is putting me on a foreign assignment. Do I lose my green card if I come back every 2 weeks for a weekend? The assignment is probably for 1/2 year.

As long as you still live in US and are only abroad for a short period of time, you'll be fine.

I did read before on this website that frequent travel outside the US, will be seen as a long stay ;o( and therefore abandon your greencard

I still don't think that you'll have a problem, especially you're only talking about doing that for half a year... you could leave US for half a year without a problem. If you want to be on the safe side, take proof with you that you live in the US: e.g. statements from an American bank, proof of house ownership, contract with your employer, etc.

From what I've read here and elsewhere, it shouldn't be a problem, specially since it's only for 6 months. If your company is an American one, you should even consider filing an application to preserve residence for naturalization purposes, otherwise the period spent outside the US will not count towards that.

you can have a letter from your company on company letterhead that you are on a business trip. Don't forget to also write down all the travelling times - you will need it for citizenship application.
