FP walk in

Is there any benefit in doing walk-in FP? From the multiple timelines I have read it doesn't seem to make any difference whatsoever...

Considering that the majority of FPs are scheduled within 1-4 weeks of receiving FL letter, doing a walk in doesn't speed up process dramatically.

absolutely...that is why I am surprised by the increasing trend in "walk in" in the forum

Well, if you have time to do walk-in FP, do it. Early FP would ensure your app will not be delayed in case you have last minute schedule conflict.

I tried to do early FP in Atlanta (Collier Rd) and did it at the worst possible moment. Apparently Tuesdays are always busy (ASC is closed on Monday). I went for my scheduled FP which was on Wednesday and there was hardly anyone inside.

My letter mentions that in case I miss my appointment, I can come by any following wednesday. It seems wednesdays are the slowest days for ASC

Wednesday and Saturday appear to be the typical reschedule times.

I think walk ins are smart..

Because its done at your schedule. What if you got delayed getting to the DO/Got sick, had to travel urgently, Car trouble.. on the scheduled date?

I did a walk-in just because it's more convenient.

I went to the ASC at 8am and went to work a little late instead of missing a whole day's work because my schedule was in the middle of the day, and on my job's busiest day of the month.

I didn't expect it to expedite my case. It also didn't hurt anyone.

For me it is a 2-hour drive to the office, so I dont want to risk it and waste time and gas. I always go when USCIS tell me to.
