FP experience at Fort Worth, Texas ASC using fax of notice for another center.

FYI, my wife managed to get her FP (#1) done at the Fort Worth ASC earlier today despite the fact that:

+she was scheduled for 11/02
+she was supposed to have this done in Alexandria, VA
+she only had a fax copy of the notice that the lawyer received (her copy never showed up)

From what we can tell, the VSC apparently sent our case information out to the ASC's right around the time that we changed our address. My address had already been changed and my notice went to the correct center in Fort Worth, my wife's address hadn't yet changed and it went to the ASC near our old home in VA. Note: this seems to reenforce the fact that it's the ASC's who determine when to send out FP notices...

After getting advice from our lawyer, the USCIS and this forum, we decided to go to the Fort Worth ASC today to explain what had happened in the hope that they would do my wife's FP.

We might have lucked out somewhat because there were 2 people at the greeting desk and one of them (some woman) was insisting that we would need the original notice. She pointed out that the fax was a compressed one and she guaranteed us that it would never scan correctly. Fortunately the other person (a man fwiw) pretty much ignored her and waved my wife in...

About 15 minutes later she was done. She watched them scan the fax and her name and address etc. came up on-screen just fine (it showed her old address which the officer changed to our new one).

Other random information:

In speaking with some of the people there my wife learned that they are currently processing far fewer people per day than their capacity (at the Fort Worth ASC). They have 3 people handling fingerprinting and they are rarely getting anywhere near the 30 cases / day / person that they can handle (when I did my own FP a few weeks ago, the office was almost empty).

Also, note that the Fort Worth ASC is closed on Mondays and open on Saturdays (we almost went on Monday instead of today which would have been annoying given that it's a 45 minute drive...). Maybe all ASC's have the same hours?

Anyway, just thought this information might be useful and/or provide some insight into how the ASC's work.

2nd FP2 done in 8 minutes

I just Came back from doing my 2nd FP2 in ASC Buffalo, NY

I entered the Building at 2:01 PM (FP2 Scheduled at 2:00) Went through Security, filled out the Paperwork, got my Finger prints done and out at 2:09 PM. PrettyAmazing

I gave my notice to the person while filling out the Paperwork and I heard her commenting to her c- worker about thelLast appointmnet being at 9:00 AM and having a 5 hour between the two FP appointment.

and we wonder why USCIS is still processing Cases from 2002.

Just to follow up on this, we received the "FP received" emails today, pretty much exactly 6 days after my wife did her FP (allowing for the Monday holiday). Her LUD changed to 10/13/04 along with the change to the status message.
