Hello,

I would like to know if it can be a real problem for my upcoming TN renewal.
I am working in US under my own Canadian Company. (I do not really mentione it at the time of Visa renewal, only if officer asks). My TN is with a consulting US company A (I had corp to corp relations with company A). This consulting company put me to work with the other company B, their client. Now the company B, where I actually work, decided that they no longer wants company A as their supplier of consultings. Company B now decided to work with company C as their supplier of consultings. Because of it I was transffered to company C and my Canadian company (and myself) now work for company C (also corp to corp relations).
I am still working for the same client B, in the same office as before.
As I understand now, I likely did a mistake and did not go to request new TN as soon as I was transffered to Company C (new company). It happenned about month ago.
My TN will expire in June. I am going to get new TN in the next week or two to work for company C.
Will I have troubles?

Thank you a lot
Regards,
Vad

The question is who is your sponsor for TN. If is for 'A', you are working illegally.

If it is for 'B', you are fine.

Thank you, nelsona
Unfortunately, company A is my sponsor. Not on my current TN, but on TN that was issued a year before, on my I-94 was written company A for company B.
Can you please recommend what can I say to minimize/avoid the effect of this issue. Is there any way to avoid the denial?

Thanks a lot

Just go to the border with a new letter from Firm C. There is little risk of denoal. The only problem could be later if going for GC, you may need to pay a fine for illegal work (maybe).

The way to avoid this of course is to enter the contract arrangement yourself, without middleman, with B.

Thank you, nelsona

I feel better now :)
You think:
1. there is a small chance that they ever question when I finished my last assignment
with company A
or
2.even if they discover that I started to work for new company C 1 month ago, they will not likely deny a new TN request?

Sorry for so much questions on the same topic.

Vad
