Hello-
I was just about ready to submit my whole package and notice something strange on the directions for form I-485. For initial evidence, I am a US citizen and my wife is a H-1B holder right now and she has never committed any crimes. So for initial evidence, do she have to get some kind of letter from the police station or court saying that she never committed any crimes?
Also, under the initial evidence, section 6-Police Clearance it says as follows:
If you are filing for adjustment of status as a member of a special class described in an I-485 supplement form, please read the instructions on the supplement form to see if you need to obtain and submit police clearances, in addition to the required fingerprints with your application.
My wife and I are not using form I-485 supplement A, so does she still need to provide some kind of police clearance? I am not sure what kind of special class the statement is referring to.
Thank You!
