For those who traveled with Advance Parole, what kind of questions do they ask you at the border? Do they just look at the Advance Parole and let you go? Do they enter or check anything in their computer systems, for example, to check if the Advance Parole has been cancelled before its expiration date?

I am planning to travel to Canada by bus in July with Advance Parole and just want to be prepared for any questions they may ask, etc...

Also, do I need to show a letter from my employer where I work?

Thank you.

This depends on the POE and even the individual officer.
In some POEs you need to go thru a secondary inspection (like andrews said)
In others (LAX for eg), you have a special line for AP holders and they can check your docs right there - no wait.

I think every officer will check the validity of the docs you presented - so if it revoked afterwards, they'll know.

Sometimes they've asked random personal questions from your 485 app (mother's maiden name, SSN etc). They also ask who is your sponsor (employer).

I've never heard of anyone being asked for proof of employment (like the letter you mention) -- won't hurt to keep one - but its totally optional. You don't have to be working with a pending 485 - you need to start working only AFTER your 485 approval.

Who can reveke the Advance Parol. An employer can revoke AP or Attorny(if is a mad). When it revoked do I get letter??

Is there any way to verify that the AP is not revoked before enter/leave US.

Hi Everyone,

We are visiting India for 2-3 weeks and we are using Advanced Parole to enter to US and we are traveling via Frankfurt, Germany.

Just today I have talked to Germany consulate they said I have to take transit visa from India for return trip to US.

I have gone through many threads on this topic, nobody said anything about this. Is this new rule??

I also visited chenni (Germany) consulate website and they do not have option for transit visa. Do I have to go to Delhi?? I live in Hyderabad. We are traveling with two kids.
