for OCT and NOV filers who pass 540 days

June 6, 2003 the Director of BCIS, Eduardo Aguirre, appeared and testified at his confirmation hearing of Judiciary Committee, U.S. Senate
"
On a personal level, I share President Bush’s vision of “welcoming immigrants with open arms…not endless lines”.
"

don't know when this will become true.

processing time is 17,18,19,20....months, i wish my stock could grow as fast as that:(
oh, wait, there was one time heard 'short it to 6 months',..oh, yeah..keep dreaming...

Well, this petition is not for us only, it's for future applicants too. This service is terrible.
At least the old service told you if your security check is passed or not.

I have some feeling that some cases were approved
were forgotten by officers. Like my H-1 case years ago, approved in a month, but status never get updated, keep calling them, say wait another months to call them, finally get to them, found it was approved long time ago, just never updated. These kind of errors!!!

The only good part about 800 number is it's not jammed any more.

Right now, we should let them expedite Nov and Dec cases, for ppl over 18 months should expedite whatsoever, and regardless of fp expiration(they cause the expiration).

Hehe, 6 months was back when twin towers are still there, buddy. It's gone same as the towers.

I hate terrorists day and night.

What's next to the failed security check

Not known well to us what's the process of the so-called security check.
Looks many Oct. and Nov filers are still wandering about in the foggy area.
Have you heard any information from your lawyer what's step will be taken after failed to pass the security check?
My lawyer just repeating say 'wait a little more ' without any background or timeline.
It's really annoying with this unforeseenable waiting game!

I think it is a good idea too, to do something to let the top folks there know that we are waiting for our cases to be approved. We are affected by the delay.
I also noticed last week from rupnet that some decent number of oct and nov cases were approved. I thought that will continue but looking at today's approval RDs, got the impression that the trend did not last long.

My FingerPrint expired but no notice yet...

My Finger Print expired in June15, 03 (after 15 months)...but no notice for second FP.......no sign of approval

What to do...

Do I need to contact BCIS to find out whether the case is assigned or 2nd FP is required? What is the chance for 2nd FP??

Hi SRI-K-NJ

You will get either approval or expect 2nd FP any time in July. It's better to contact your lawyer because I got my notice from my lawyer.

Those Who Signed the Petition Letter

Hi All:

Have you noticed that some who signed the petition have
a RD as later as April, 2002. I guess it is normal for their
cases not processed.

This letter is for those who experience severe delays with
a RD as early as October, 2001, or even earlier. Don't understand
why some with a RD in 2002 also signed the letter.
