My wife filed her AOS several months after I filed mine (follow-to-join). As of today no fp for neither of us. We were told that her application will be attached to mine to be processed together according my RD/ND. Is that the general rule? Like to here your opinion and your experience.
 
When you get FP

take your wife also for FP. (or vice versa) that way you can ensure that the applications stay together.
Similarly when you hear that one of the cases have been assigned to an IIO, call INS and make sure that both cases stay together.
Theoritically it should stay together, but sometimes they dont. Keep checking with both receipt numbers.
Your case is not follow to join. That applies when dependents are not in US.
