Let me summarize: You can get the LC information from 2 sources: (a) DOL (b) USCIS Service Center.
DOL
Positives: Takes less time (3-4 weeks), can talk with a person, no forms to fill
Negatives: Get LC papers filed only (they have all the info regarding job code/salary/desc) - not the actual certified LC and 140.
Process: Follow the steps at the beginning of this thread: http://www.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=105554
USCIS
Positives: Get all docs, including the certified LC and 140 approval copies
Negatives: Takes upto 3 months
Process: Follow the steps here: http://uscis.gov/graphics/aboutus/foia/request.htm
good luck!
