FOIA question,

Hi,

My Employer is in NJ. My LC was approved around end of 2003. I need to get detail of job desc , Salary and other. I have send fax to FOIA New York State Department of Labor. After 2 week they sent me letter that

"Labor department where not found any record. since employer is located in New Jersey . you may want to contact New Jersey Department of Labor"

What can I do ?

Anyone got LC detail from Labor department ?

Please advice me.

Would my employer know that I have requested an FOIA on my case. Are the lawyers notified at all ??

Well,
I hop you get yours within next couple of weeks. You are the flag bearer. Once you get yours, I will then start counting days for mine.

I just found in the forum that another person had submitted for FOIA on 16th September and he/she got it on November 10th.
I hope we all get it in the same speed

I sent a FOIP request to Vermont. My wife has also sent a separate applicaton. As mentioned in the application we have not Notarized the applications. Let us see if I and my wife get rejected

I am still waiting. I do not know, why it is taking too long. I hope it will come fast. Waiting for 140 Approval also. just checking mails daily.

Do not worry buddy. Probably because of holidays. Do you know any one in this forum who submitted for FOIA in October 2004 got it?
Is it worth to contact VSC asking for status or will that create a mess?
I have created a FOIA tracker for VSC also. Lets follow it also. :D

I tried to call Vermont Yesterday and today but no luck. The phone number is out of service.
What is your receipt date btw? Also was it marked as simple task?

Question - reg filling out FOIA form

Hi,

I am trying to fill out the FOIA (g-639) form. I need the documents for filing ac-21. (Eb-3/VSC, 140 approved and 485 > 180 days)

1. Should i request this for my spouse too (spouse not working)

2.if so, should i use different application. Do i need any docs related to her (I have photocopies of 485 recpt for my wife)

3. On the form Item no 5 - What should i write ? (they wanted name,date , subject matter,location of Information)

4. Also what is the Purpose - (can i say file for AC21)

5.On item No:6 on the form -Petition or claim receipt No - what should i write here?

can any one clarify these ? Need to request this soon.
