DOES somebody know someone with similair experience.
- My wife filled the application for dv lottery AND in the question that says where r u living currently SHE said morrocco instead i was in usa at that time and i am still in.
can someone tell me that i have a chance to get the lottery,
thank u:(

for me and her she applied for me as the principal applicant and of course with here as my wife but she made a mistake but not specifying that i am in usa the time she applied the first time now i am confused whether i have to go back to morocco for the interview and risk getting refused the visa for a mistake that my wife committed while she was filling the application.:(

She did not make any mistake. You live permanently in Morocco, what she mentioned.

If you want to do AOS, you could do that. However, she will probably not have enough time to go through CP in that case. So, you will end up with GC alone.

If you do CP, you will be able to do that both concurrently.

Hi,

I have nearly the same situation as Assaad:

I am from Ukraine but at the moment of my 1st application i was living and working in Rep. of Ireland. (illegaly as my viza expired) I stayed there for 4 years. Now I am back in Ukraine and waiting for my interview.

The question in on-line form was: WHERE DO YOU LIVE TODAY?
my answer was: UKRAINE (I was afraid of writing "IRELAND" cause i was staying there illegaly)

As I understand this question is not about residence, but is about where are you phisically TODAY

In my forms sent to KCC I mentioned that I lived in Ireland 4 years. (btw I obtained the Police certificate from Ireland)

1) What should I answer at US Embassy to the question: "Why you wrote UKRAINE while living in IRELAND?"

2) I am going to say that I was living in Ireland illegaly only if asked directly about it. Will I be disqualified if they find out about it?

Raevsky and everyone else who know the matter please help!

I think someone asked this before. If I remember correctly, it doesn't matter what was the immigration status in the country that you previously or currently lived in (except if you live or have lived in the U.S illegaly).

To answer the first question. In my opinion it doesn't matter, on the DS-230 it asked for your present address. It's mainly to see where are you permanently reside so they know where to send your NL and where to process your application.

Not really. The question is about your eligibility to file for a consular processing in that country.

You could have written Ukraine instead, because you permanently live in Ukraine.

1) What should I answer at US Embassy to the question: "Why you wrote UKRAINE while living in IRELAND?"
You did the right thing by writing Ukraine. Because your place of permanent residency was Ukraine.

2) I am going to say that I was living in Ireland illegaly only if asked directly about it. Will I be disqualified if they find out about it?
You will not be disqualified. You should not be afraid of saying about your illegal status in Ireland.
