To all,

I know I am being selfish but please bear with me for few days then this thread can be deleted.

Yesterday I received my passport card the last of the documents.

The passport book package actually had "THE WORLD IS YOURS" printed on it. :-))

Now I can have a sense of belonging when I go through immigration at US airports, at department of motor vehicle and of course during Obama presidential ceremony.

On a personel note, during all those days (and sleep less night) when I was waiting for one document or other from USCIS, I had to think about the America, it's immigration system and it's policies. I had to think about the american society and what it means to be an american.

Even though the immigration journey is long and frustrating (and it is) I have reached a conclusion that in the end it is worth it. It is worth because of the unlimited oppertunity both financial and social and freedon both moral and personal that this great country afford to it's citizen (and actually all who reside here).

I wish all the best to the people of this forum who have completed the journey and to all who are hoping to receive it. My special appriciation for the people who have finished this journey but come back to this forum to help others fulfill their dream. A true american jesture.

In conclusion I am just soooooooo releived that it is finally over. For the interested here is time line

Are you referring to the "EU is better than USA citizenship" post?

Congratulations vik_b!!

Much like everything else, it's in the eye of the beholder. From a strictly economic perspective, EU isn't doing much better than U.S., so I'm happy with my U.S. citizenship.

Congratulations vik_b!!

There was a post by another user suggesting that "I was rubbing it in" and that I was insulting other N-400 applicants who had to wait years to get citizenship (I was approved in 4.5 months).

That user was pretty abusive. In the moment of heat I responded with some comment. I did not want other good/decent users to feel bad. :-)

His and mine post were removed and all is well.

Just for information sake I was stuck for about an year (over and above normal processing)in name check during my I-485 so what God takes away by one hand God gives by another.

Any how thanks for all the user who helped answer the questions. I hope I can pass on the good deed.

we all post about it when we get IL, OL , citizenship or pp. and that's not being selfish at all, IMO. some get it done fast, with some it takes time, most of the time for reasons not under their control...
I don't know why anyone would think it's "rubbing it in" ... mine also went pretty quick, compared to some others who had to wait yrs.
While and after getting through the process, about 80% of members here (IMO) have always helped others and answered their questions, so no reason to feel bad about getting stuff done fast.
