How Long??

I've been fingerprinted (07/24)
How long after the FPs does someone normally get their green card??
Seems as if I've been waiting forever :confused:
2 and half to 3 years to be exact....do you think 9/11 has something to do with these long processing dates? or is the USCIS seriously under staffed??
Cuz I'll work for them!! FOR FREE!! just to speed up the process..
It's getting frustrating!
 
I heard something about Retrogression but not sure whether it applies to your case. Check it out. OR may want to call BCIS and ask them the status.

Wow congratulations!! That is really good to know that FP notice are coming for the May 2004,I-485 notice.

Can you please confirm whether your case was filed in EB3 or EB2 and filed from where-VSC ?

140 Approval Date July 19 2004
485 Notice Date May 21 2004

received FP notice today. I-485 filed july 2004. questions:

on the notice, the service center says "ESC", what does that stand for?
also, code says "3", ?

normally, when one receiveds FP notice, does it mean BCIS already reviewed our case and it is OKed excpet pending the FP results? how much longer we have to wait after FP done before I485 approved?
 
Spouse FP

I recently received my FP notice scheduled for March. My spouse case has a different I-485 filing date and hasn't yet received FP notice. Can anyone share their experience trying FP for spouse without a FP notice at Buffalo ASC/Other centers.
 
URGENT: Fingerprint Notice received but changing jobs in between

Hi Friends,
Well I think I am in bit of a mess now. I received my fingerprint notice from VSC. The ND is 03/15/05.
However, I am switiching to a new job per AC-21 and will be serving probably my last day of notice period for my present employer on or around 03/15/2005.
Under such circumstances, I need the following advice from you.
1. What do they do during fingerprinting?
2. Do they do employment verification?
3. If my present employer informs INS about that, which they will do, should I carry my future appointment letter with me?
4. What kind of questions do they ask?
Requesting your advice as I need to decide in next 2 days about my joining date etc.

FP notices received on 02/22/05.
FP Scheduled for 04/XX/05.

RIR/EB3/INDIA/LC-PD 08/03.

I140/485 ND : 07/XX/04.
I-140 AD : 10/XX/04.

NO LUD on I-140/485. (Last update on I-140 was only around the approval).

no LUD on 485 but LUD for approved 140 when I got my FP.
 
485 approved

I-485 (priority date 12/30/2001) approved on 2/15/2005
RD July 2003
Both me and my wife got the approved 485 notices but only I got the courtesty notice. Would my wife receive a courtesy notice too? The reason why I am asking is if during fingerprinting, would the INS official ask for the original 485 notice or the courtesy notice or both?

FP received from VSC

Today FP for my wife and me are received from VSC and are scheduled to take on 4/4/05 in Baltimore. 140 (NIW) RD 3/29/04 and 485 RD 5/17/04 are still pending. I am wondering when I can get them approved.
