Finally my U.S. Passport arrived

Hello guys, well well well, after along journey dealing with USCIS. and U.S. Embassy, and from K-3 Visa to Green Card to Citizenship. Finally the time's comes. I just recieved my First U.S. passport book. and looks nice with the new design, And i am still waiting for my Passport Card. and my Certificate of Nat, ..

Now, what is the right way to sign it?


I received a little booklet with it, it says Sign your full name in your passport in ink
1- with what INK?? Blue or Black ???
2- should i sign it like the same Signature i signed my Certificate of Naturalization.?? or full name? .. i signed my certificate of naturalization = first name and the last name. i dint sign it adding my middle name. So when it says full name that means. including my middle name??

I beg to differ - it looks ugly as hell with its uber-patriotic design. The old one was by far better. I hope Obama administration will seriously look into making the passport design clean, simplistic and neutral - the way a passport needs to be.

Just like you sign credit cards and cheques.

They are just being ethnocentric. This is how a WASP majority signs their documents, but it does not mean you should follow the same format. I signed mine with an illegible scribble.

Take it easy... either one is fine. I signed in black ink because I think it looks better.
 
How you sign your name or what color ink you use does not affect validity of passport. Stop worrying about such minor issues and start enjoying travel with your new passport.
 
Be77 - when did you apply and when did you get the passport? Can you please post your passport application and receipt timeline? Also, did you apply regular processing or expedited?

Yes, I applied regular not expedite.

I sent it On 1/31/2011 And I received my Passport Book On 2/25/2011 And the passport Card day later On 2/26/2011 And today my Certificate of Nat. Arrived. 2/28/2011.
