Ladies & Gentlemen - My wife and I got our approval on 03/26/2004.
After TSC got our RFE Reply (to officer # 256) on 03/01/2004, we went on vacation. As soon as we came back, since our I-485s were still not approved, we faxed and sent a letter to USCIS TSC (Attn: # 256) about our FP expiry. Not sure if that worked (I believe HelloINS and downinsouth were also waiting for the same officer. Any news?).
The whole GC process has been like a loooong train journey. I have had the privilege to acquaint with a great support group. We've seen many friends getting their approvals. Some are still continuing their journey. But this is my stop! I hope we get a chance to meet again in this same board (citizenship in 5 years!!). However, I shall try to contribute my best to this forum in future too.
I wish everyone great success in their careers and personal lives. Immigrating to a new country and following your dream is not easy as one might think. But if we can pull it off, and if it helps our family and children, we have done our role.
Best regards,
- bajis.
