What's a writ of mandamus? Also how do I find which Tier my case is put under? (I've received this same e-mail on 7/28/09 "...you appear to be inadmissible under ?212(a)(3)(B) of the INA,..."

On July 15, 2009, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our ..... ASYLUM OFC. location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case

What does this mean? I believe there is little difference between "field office" and "Asylum Office" though they are located in the same city, am I right?

I think this means that you will be asked to appear for an interview. From then on, everything should go smoothly and you will get your approval shortly after the interview.

Hi God is green, I had my asylum approved 1999, applied to I-485 on 2005 since then I contacted the congressman several time finaly I recieved letter from the senator that I am inadmissible under 212, three month later I recieved this email
""""On January 17, 2006, we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our TEXAS SERVICE CENTER location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. I already get this email on 2006 but they send it again in Jul 27 2009. I think they just try to pretend that they doing somthing with your file. but I think my case will be stagnant for the many years to come.

I think before this administration they were't allowed to tell you that but recently I see allot of people get this letter.

they approved my(wife's) I-730; my i-485 is still pending: what will be the consequence if my wife file I-485? (after a year as a derivative..)
