Hello all...! As I promised in Sonny123's thread I will come back and post my experience on Oath ceremony. First of all, THANK YOU to you all for your time and effort to answer and share your knowledge and experiences with others.
Second, I am very proud to be a new US Citizen. I could not have been any happier. Entire experience took less then 6 months - no complains here!
Ceremony at Tampa was OK - and by that mean...it was average. I have read in several posts in this thread that how solemn the whole thing was and stuff....but Tampa affair was the city itself is - very casual...T-Shirts an Flip Flops kind of experience. I was kind of little bit experience. There were no special guests there to give speech or any thing like that. USCIS people spent almost 45 minutes explaining those 8 questions (Elementary school style!). I guess some people just need that level of instruction to move forward. Also, most of the time was wasted on explaining what form people should fill in case they have to file petitions for families and stuff. To me, if I need to file a petition for my immediate family member I am going to find out just as I found the whole I-485 and N-400 stuff.
Any way, when the MC announced that we all are now a US CITIZEN....that hit me hard. I thouhgt ...that was the MOMENT!!! I was emotional and very happy and excited. I did not opt to get in line for Passport and Voters registration. I plan on doing those stuff some time next week. Unfortunately, vacation and work is taking priority over Passport and Voters registration.
To sum up, I had great experience with USCIS from the day I set my foot in the United States of America. Lession learned is "Do Things Right!". And I am very proud of the day I got my work permit, got my green card, and now a proud US Citizen!! All worth it and can not replace any thing!!
God Bless you all and hang in there!!
