Hello. I just joined here and have a few questions regarding the I-130 process. I understand that any advice given here is not legal advice.
Our situation is a little different than others so I will outline the details below. I searched for information but did not see any, so if this has been covered please forgive me and also link back, if possible.
I am a US citizen currently residing with my husband who is an EU citizen in Ireland. I have checked on the Ireland US Consulate website and found that they do handle Visa's, however we were married in Denmark. We have certified translations of our original Danish marriage certificate. It was Apostilled by the Marriage Clerk in the jurisdiction we were married.
My questions:
1. Do you think we will run into trouble processing the paperwork with our current Marriage certificate?
2. Is there a basic timeline or time frame we can go by for processing the paperwork?
3. The I-130 we downloaded from the gov. website says that it expires 01/31/11, but they have not put up a new one. Is it okay to use?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.
