Filing for US Citizenship for self and GC for a relative.

Hi All,

My daughter who is eligible to file for US citizenship is also planning to file for GC for her mom. Can she file the I-130/I-485 at the same time she files the N-400 or does she have to wait until the N-400 gets approved?

She has to be a US citizen in order to sponsor her mom for a GC, hence she needs to wait until she takes the oath before being able to sponsor.

First she should get her naturalization certificate/US citizenship. Then she should file I-130 for mother. Her mother can file I-485 with I-130 if mother is in US. if Mother is out of US then only I-130.
