filing for my mother

hi all,

my citizenship is in process. and I'm curious to know what is the fastest option to bring my mother once i become citizen.

my mother was here few years back and she overstayed and left to home country and last time when we try to apply for visit visa the visa was rejected and told to come back when your son is citizen.

so my question is;

should i try again filing for "visit visa" (if yes then do i have to send my passport copy or naturalization certificate?)

or should i file I130 for my mother?

thanks.

Try harder to remember. How many months? If more than 6, she has a problem awaiting during her consular interview. Also how long ago did her overstay take place?

i dont remember the exact dates but my mom overstayed for few months. (less then a year)

That is good in a way. At lease the 3 year ban did not kick in.

less then 6 months

You sending your passport copy or naturalisation certificate copy has nothing to do with her visit visa application.

You are comparing apples to oranges. A visit visa should not be compared to an immigrant visa.
