My situation is as follows :-

Expecting to get laid off in a month. 180 days have passed since my
485 is filed. I am getting a job with similar title/responsibilities.
I was planning to file I-485 for my family now as they were not in US
when I filed my I-485.

My current employer is not ready to file I-485 for my family because of
lay-off situation. My new employer has suggested me to find a lawyer
for filing 485 for my family. I am currently on H-1 but will be joining
the employer on EAD card. I therefore need to file I-485 for my family
before I join new employment to maintain their status.

Questions :-

1) Can I file I-485 for my family without the consent of my current
   employer. If yes, how?
2) Can I file I-485 for my family on the basis of new employment and
showing new employer in affadavit of support
3) Anybody can suggest good immigration lawyers (Preferably in Bay Area)

Thanks in advance

answers 1 & 2

1) You do not need any letter from your ex-employer. Fill up the affidavit of support and send it before you quit your employer. You can file it yourself by using copies of your I485 receipt (one each for every dependent) See INS web site and prepare the documents, photo and check
2)I would suggest against it. But your lawyer will know best

No Title

I have one question :- Do I have to attach medical reports with the
appliation or I can send it seperately? This is to beat the deadline
of filing before I quit my existing employer.

Do we can file for the family while the I485 processing?

Family means dependents or you relatives?
