Hello wonderful people!

My problem is this:
I have lived in the US for over 25 years. 5 years ago i married my wonderful wife. Through marriage I have now been a permanent resident for 2 years. I just filed for n-400, citizenship about a year too early.
Assuming that my application is denied, will i still be able to file again next year? How will this affect my application next year, will it draw red flags?
What will happen......?

Thank you for any info.

i live in new jersey, we have lived here over 5 years

It will not affect your application in any way. Apply 3 years minus about 80 days (to be safe) after you got your GC.
