Hi, everybody

I I am a PhD student in US with research assistant scholarship and have been in US for two years. I have a valid SSN and driving license. I get married to a US citizen and am going to apply GC.

I am confused about the eligibility of filing I130 and I485 together (Get a Green Card While Inside the United States/One Step Process on the USCIS website). Am I eligible to concurrent filing?

If so, when I am filling the form I485, I think I need to check the part 2 box[a] (An immigrant petition giving me an immediately visa number that has been approved). But it requires to attach a copy of the approval notice. Since I file I130 and I485 together, I don't have the copy. What can I do?

Thanks!

The concurrent filing of the I-130 as an immediate relative (spouse, child or parent) of a USC makes a visa "immediately available". Read the rest of the sentence in the parentheses...it says in the alternative to attach such a petition and that is what the I-130 is.

Thanks for your reply. But I couldn't find "the sentence in the parentheses" you mentioned above. Is it on the USCIS website of concurrent filing link? Or on the forms?
